Club Description: Connections helps partner TFN mentors with students at their feeder schools to help them transition to high school. Mentors connect with their mentees and teach them about social media, role models, peer pressure, and all things related to high school. The jump from 8th grade to high school can be intimidating, but having a mentor makes the process easier. If you care about your community and working with teens, then this is the club for you!

Activities include: Annual Leadership Workshop, field trips to the feeder schools 4-6 times a year to provide lessons to help them transition to high school, after-school meetings, semester parties, Annual Shadow Day during which the 8th graders visit TFN, and more.

Procedure for joining: Connections is a yearlong commitment, and teams are solidified early on in the school year. Candidates must interview to be selected to the team. Listen for announcements in August regarding how to sign up to be interviewed. Interviews are usually the second week of September.

Time Committment: 4-6 hour-long field trips to the feeder schools every year, after-school meetings every six weeks, ONE Shadow Day per year, and two semester parties!

Activity Time Period: Year round.
