Description: The National Honor Society is a club of tradition and prestige. Since 1928, the NHS has aimed to stimulate scholarship, promote leadership, and develop character. The students in this organization work to bring the achievements of outstanding high school students to the attention of their classmates, parents and community members.
Activities include: Vitalant Blood Drives, tutoring in the LRC on early release Wednesdays, and an involvement in a variety of school and community service projects.
Procedure for Joining: For membership, students must have completed three semesters of high school and have a G.P.A. of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale and have been recognized for both activities and awards during high school. Admission is determined by NHS Faculty Committee application and interview process.
Time Commitment: Meetings are the 2nd or 4th Wednesdays at 2:00 in the LRC.
Activity Time Period: All year
