State of Illinois Assessment Day

Dear Red Wolves,

On Tuesday, April 23rd and Wednesday, April 24th, Thornton Fractional South High School students will be required to participate in the PSAT/SAT assessments, the Illinois Science Assessment (Grade 11), and an asynchronous day of instruction over this two-day window. The assessment schedule will be as follows:

Tuesday, April 23rd                            8:15 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

• Grade 9 - Freshmen will take the PSAT 9 at TF South
• Grade 10 - Sophomores participate in an asynchronous instruction day at home.
• Grade 11 - Juniors will take the SAT (graduation requirement) at TF South.
• Grade 12 - Students participate in an asynchronous instruction day at home and finalize post-secondary plans.

Wednesday, April 24th                       8:15 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

• Grade 9 - Freshmen participate in an asynchronous instruction day at home.
• Grade 10 - Sophomores will take the PSAT 10 at TF South.
• Grade 11 - Juniors take the Illinois Science Assessment (graduation requirement) at TF South.
• Grade 12 - Students participate in an asynchronous instruction day at home and finalize post-secondary plans.

All Grade 9 – Grade 12 students will return to a standard bell schedule / full day of school on Thursday, April 25th.  More details will be forthcoming after students and staff return from spring break.
