2026-2027 Course Selection

Dear T.F. South Parents and Students,

The online course selection window will be open January 12th and close once counselors begin meeting with each grade level.  Please log in to Power School on a computer (this feature may not be available on the app) and click on the Course Registration icon to pick your classes for next school year. Our curriculum guide (curriculum guide-Spanish version) is a great resource that describes all the courses and programs we offer, and you will be able to see teacher recommendations in PowerSchool when making your selections.

School counselors will meet individually with every student to review and finalize course selections according to the dates below.

Please follow these guidelines when selecting courses.

  • All students are required to take at least 6.0 credits.
  • Students should take the most challenging courses in which they can have academic success and select options that align with post-secondary plans.
  • Recommended placement is based on academic performance, motivation, and standardized test scores.
  • Parents can request a level change by contacting their child’s assigned counselor.
  • We offer a variety of Early Bird classes for students that want to take an extra elective or for early release.        Seats are prioritized, so talk with your counselor about eligibility.
  • Students should select alternate electives in the event their original choice is unavailable.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s counselor at any time during this process if you have a question or need assistance.
