Graduation Requirements
Graduation from a Thornton Fractional Township High School requires that a student successfully complete 23 credits during at least eight semesters of full-time attendance.
- English, 4 credits
- Health, .5 Credits
- Math, 3 credits
- Physical Education, 3.5 Credits
- Science, 2 Credits
- Social Studies, 3 Credits
- Electives, 7 Credits
Total Required 23 Credits
Of the 23 minimum credits required for graduation, 19 credits must be in courses other than Physical Education and Driver Education. Students must enroll in Physical Education each semester during the regular school year unless they are enrolled in Driver Education, Health or have received a valid Physical Education waiver. In addition to the above requirements, a student must:
1. Attend classes full time for eight semesters. (4 years)
2. Pass the U.S. and Illinois Constitution exam.

FAFSA completion is a graduation requirement in the state of Illinois. We have an ISAC representaive come in every other week to help students fill out the FAFSA.
