Parents and Guardians:
Fall is here and winter is quickly approaching! The second quarter is well underway, grades have been submitted and first quarter report cards were emailed on Friday, October 26th. We are continuing to strive for excellence in education by offering your students a quality education that they desire. Meeting these expectations requires the help of parents, teachers, and students. When you receive your student's progress report, I hope it has met your expectations.
Our winter season is posed to be an exciting one for our athletic teams and extra-curricular activities. Our girls’ and boys’ basketball teams are getting ready to compete. Come out to see them play during the season! Additionally, our indoor track practice season for boys & girls has begun. Our daily schedule for athletics and activities can be found on 8to18 and through our district web site.
Our winter play “Once On This Island” is scheduled for November 15, 16, & 17. Sade May and her team of thespians are working hard to make this performance our best.
The holiday season is an exciting time of giving for our North community. Our various clubs and activities are planning some fun and service-based events. Please check the Student Activity calendar on our website.
As usual, we are committed to making TF North “the model of educational excellence.” We cannot do this alone. Please make every effort to connect with your students' teachers. Together we can make a difference.
In addition to this website, there are various other ways to stay on top of what is happening. The more you know, the more effective you will be at supporting your students' academic success.
- Quick Notes periodic emails. (Sign up here.)
- District 215 app notifications to your phone (More info here.)
- Twitter (Follow us @north_tf)
MOST IMPORTANTLY, please do not forget to create your parent portal in PowerSchool to help you follow your students' academic progress. Once in PowerSchool, you will be able to set up notifications. There is also a PowerSchool app. Once you set up your account, you can download the PowerSchool app by using the district code LMTJ. (More PowerSchool set-up information can be found here.)
We appreciate all that you do to help us serve your children. Feel free to reach out to us (see Staff Directory) with any questions and/or concerns you may have.
Let's have a great year!
Dwayne E. Evans, Ed.D.
