The Advanced Placement (AP) Program provides students with the opportunity to pursue college level studies while still in high school and to receive advanced placement and/or credit when entering college. Qualified, academically oriented students in eleventh and twelfth grades are eligible to participate in Advanced Placement Courses.

Advanced Placement Exams


Students are highly recommended to take an AP exam for each AP class in which they are enrolled. The exams are administered at TF North in May, and registration information is distributed to the students in their AP classes. Please visit the College Board website for additional information.

 

College Credit for AP Exams


Please note that college credit is only possible if you take the AP exam.

AP exams are reported on the following 5 point scale:

  • 5 - Extremely well qualified
  • 4 - Well qualified
  • 3 - Qualified
  • 2 - Possibly Qualified
  • 1 - No recommendation
