I Scream! You Scream! We all scream for ice cream and financial aid!  All seniors along with parents are welcome to attend our financial aid night on Tuesday, September 26 at 6-8PM in the cafeteria.  Come out to enjoy some delicious ice cream while learning important information about Federal and State financial aid available for post-secondary education.

Attention Peer Mediators, Peer Mediation Ice Cream Social will be tomorrow after school in Room 138. If you received an invitation, please join us! Bring a friend! See you there!

Attention all seniors. Are you interested in a career in art and design or media and communication? Then Columbia College in Chicago might be the college for you! There will be a representative from Columbia here next Tuesday, September 26 during 2nd hour. If you are interested in learning about Columbia, sign up in the Guidance office.

Can you hear that grill sizzling?!  Can you see those beanbags flying?  For games, food, music, and more come to this Friday's Tailgate in the parking lot!  $1 hot dogs, 50-cent chips, FREE WATER!  What fun!  Get ready to cheer on a Rebel victory at the Tailgate!

The 100 Black Men of Chicago will host their 15th Annual College Scholarship Fair on Saturday, October 7th at the UIC Pavilion.  Field trip permission forms are available in the Guidance Office and cafeteria for interested juniors and seniors.

All juniors and seniors are welcome to attend the National College Fair in Chicago on Saturday, October 14th at McCormick Place.  Field trip permission forms are available in the Guidance Office and cafeteria for interested juniors and seniors.

The Township of Thornton is seeking to hire assistants for an after school program.  If you are at least 16-years-old, have a 3.0 GPA, and reside in the Township of Thornton, please visit the Guidance Office for more information.

Looking to take that special someone to Homecoming, but that special someone doesn't go to T.F. South?  Print the form “School Date Request” from the website today!  The forms are due to the Deans’ Office no later than 3pm on Wednesday, October 4th!  No form, No date, No exceptions!

SPORTS

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls’ Tennis Team on their victory against TF North.  Winners include Tamera Sublett, Diana Alverez, Mummpraise Ovoh, Brianna Meloy, Kennedi Dodd, and T'Lia McClure.  Frosh/Soph were also victorious.  Winners include Jaunetta McClary, Liz Perez, Tamia Mackey and Shantae Fraizer.  Great job ladies.  Good luck tomorrow at Tinley.

Congratulations to the TF United Girls' Swim Team on their victory over Eisenhower High School. Top finishers include Madisen Terrell, Claudia Dominguez, Janaya Johnson, and Makayla Feakes. Top JV finishers include Elinah Achuism and Mia Kerouac. Way to go girls!

Congratulations to the Boys Cross Country for outrunning Hillcrest and Richards last evening at Erfert Park. Running Top Five for the Rebels were Trevor Greenwood, DJ Kooi, Roger Chavez, Sam Siquieros, and Josh Gann.  Great running!

Captains Club meeting is today at 1:45 in the Grand Lobby.

Any girls interested in joining the bowling team, we will start conditioning today at Lan-Oak Lanes at 4 pm. Please provide your own ride to the alley. For more information, stop and see Coach Bartlett in Rm 137.

Powder Puff sign-up meeting is today after school in the cafeteria. $20 due at sign-up.
