Get ready for March Madness now - start reading! ​You can have up to four people on a team. The books for this month are Kendra, Monster, Dorothy Must Die, Cinder, The Hate U Give, If I Was Your Girl, Native Son, and To Kill a Mockingbird. Check out a book from the LRC today!

Seniors, Gear Up for Graduation. Balfour, Cap & Gown representatives is having Senior Day at their store on Saturday, Dec. 16th. Please stop in the guidance office to pick up a flyer with more information.

Attention Seniors! It is time to order your senior Hoodie! The cost is only $25 and includes a personalized name on the back of the sweatshirt!!! See Mr. Furmanek in rm. 136 if you have any questions. Your order form and money will be due by 3:00 on Wednesday, December 20. 

YIPPEE!! It’s candy cane season... Freshman board will be selling candy grams during each lunch hour or you can buy one before or after school in room 207. Send a candy cane to a friend with a SWEET note attached to brighten their day!!   Candy canes will be delivered Dec. 15th during 2nd hour. “YOU GO GLENN COCO!!!”

Want your 2nd hour class to win a donut breakfast?!  All you have to do is be the class period to collect the most items for our holiday drive!  Bring in non-perishable food items, new hats, gloves, scarves or personal hygiene items to donate to local agencies to help families in need. This collection will end by Monday Dec 18th!!   

Another Badminton open gym this Thursday! 6:30 to 8. Anyone is welcome to come and be destroyed by the TFN badminton team!  So, you think you can play? We'll show you that this isn't the backyard badminton you're used to. We will be competing in a doubles tournament. If you're man or woman enough, we'll see you there. 

PRIDE members, our Holiday party will be Thursday, December 21st at 2:30. The cost is $2.00. If you would like to take part in the Secret Santa gift exchange, make sure to pick up a Secret Santa questionnaire from Mrs. DeSoto!

Today is open gym in the purple gym 6:30-8:30. 

Any girls interested in playing softball in the spring? There will be an informational meeting on Friday the 15th in room 107. Please make sure you bring your phones with you. All grade levels welcome.

KABOOM!  That’s right sports fans, the boys bowling team did it again.  They beat the Titans of Tinley Park, former home of Mr. Kawa.  The varsity Kegglers won their match by almost 100 pins!  Match highlights include: Jaylen Little and his game of 207, Elliott Taylor who rolled a 234, and Michael “easy slide” Gunn who threw a perfect game of 300.  For those of you who don’t know, that is 13 strikes in a row!  Great job Michael – that is the first perfect game during a match in school history.  And not to be outdone, the Frosh team won also, in celebration of Mr. Tarka’s birthday!  Team leaders were: Kristofer “snoopy” Graham with a 123, Darrius “the big” Gunn 119, and Salvador “the assassin” Haro with games of 178 and 153.  Great job guys!

Coach Twietmeyer and Coach Tarka would also like to announce that Jaylen Little is the bowler of the week.
