Attention all seniors—the Senior Lock-In is here!Head to the Athletic Office and pick up the permission slip so you can head to Jak’s Warehouse Friday, November 3rd, where you will spend the night playing UNLIMITED video games and Attractions!You have today only to pay the one-time fee of $40! See ya there!

Attention all PRIDE Club members and friends and supporters of LGBTQ rights and lives! On Thursday, October 26th, from 3:40 – 5:00 PM, the LRC will be hosting an LGBTQ Read-In, featuring both fiction and non-fiction literature written by, for and about the LGBTQ community. Even if you do not identify as part of the LGBTQ community, please consider coming if you are wanting to understand more and/or to show support. LGBTQ stories are relatable to many. Due to space limitations, those wanting to attend must sign up with Mrs. DeSoto in the LRC prior to the event. So, don’t wait until the last minute. Sign up today to attend the LGBTQ Read-In on Thursday, October 26th. 

Register to vote on Monday, October 23rd, in the cafeteria during your lunch hour.17-year-old students can register to vote as long as you will be 18 by the general election in November 2018. Please bring your driver license, state ID or know the last 4 digits of your social security number to register. Please see Mrs. Shama with questions.

Attention 10th-12th grade students: Are you interested in a career in the Military. Perhaps you're not sure what you want to do after high school and you want to take a career interest inventory to help you match your current skills to a career. If so, please sign up in the Guidance office to take the ASVAB on Friday, October 27, 2017.

Who is your favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle? Maybe you should create your own for the Creative Comics contest.Contest open to students age 15 or younger. Prizes will be awarded. See Mrs. Weber in room 175B or a Visual Arts club member for more info. All entries are due today.

What do you wish you had known as a freshman? Become a Connections mentor to an 8th grader! Sign up in Guidance to be interviewed for a mentor position. See Mrs. Braasch for details.

The next PRIDE meeting will be Tuesday, October 24th during 6th hour. Stay tuned to Remind for your pass.

There will be a Literary Magazine meeting Monday, after school in Room 131. We are planning Lit Fest, so please be sure to come! See Ms. Hood if you have any questions.

Mr. Stephan, Mr. Altenburg, Ms. Hood, Mr. Holubec and Ms. Isberg would like to thank all the students who will be attending the Hamilton production in November for their hard work on their performances and congratulate Melody Varnado for being selected as the best of the best! Way to go, Melody!

Come out and support our Cross-country teams as they compete at the regional championship tomorrow at Thornridge High School. Girls race at 9 a.m. and Boys race at 10 a.m. Good luck to all to all competitors.
