  • Get Moving
    The fitness center will be open to the public on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. Come join the fun! There will be an open gym, Healthy Hoops class on Wednesdays from 6:45-7:45 a.m. in the gray gym, and Hip Hop Yoga from 2:15-3"15 p.m. on Wednesdays in the aerobics room. Come join the fun!

  • Medical History/Medications 
    Should your child's medical history and/or medications change during the school year for any reason, please notify the school nurse, Mrs. Oostman. She can be reached at 708-585-2050 or by email at poostman@tfd215.org. Current medical information is of the utmost importance in the event of an emergency

  • Vision and Hearing Screenings
    In the near future, the school nurse will begin vision and hearing screenings on select populations within the district. These include all Special Education students, students that are new to the district, as well as teacher and parent referrals. If you have any questions about this procedure, please contact the school nurse at 585-2050.
  • Yearbook Sales
    If you are interested in purchasing a yearbook for your student, yearbook sales will continue both online and through the bookstore until January 20, 2015. Book price is $50 from now until January 20th. After January 20th, the price will increase to $65. The final date to purchase a yearbook is April 1, 2015. Please remember that no personal checks will be accepted - cash, money order or credit card only.

  • Athletic Booster Club Meeting
    Right after the Winter parent/Athlete/Coaches' meeting on November 17th, the Athletic Booster Club will conduct their meeting at 7:30 p.m. in room 350N, not November 10th as previously stated.

  • Parent/Athlete/Coaches' Meeting
    The Athletic Department will hold its Winter Parent/Athlete/Coaches' meeting on Monday, November 17th at 6:30 p.m. in the red gym. This meeting is geared toward the rules and regulations of TFS athletes as well as what you can expect from your coaching staff.

  • Athletic Pictures
    Winter athletic pictures will be taken on Wednesday, November 19th at 3:15 p.m. in the red gym. Don't be left out of your team pictures!

  • Rebel Ana's 2014 Poetry Slam
    "Creating Our Rebelution!" - will be held on Wednesday, November 19th at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Tickets are $2.00 and can be purchased at the door.

  • Family Movie Night
    The T.F. South Activities Office is hosting a family movie night on Friday, November 21st at 7pm. We will be showing The Polar Express on the BIG SCREEN in the TFS Auditorium, and there will be a special appearance from Santa! Admission is $1 and snacks will be available for purchase.

  • Fall Choir Concert
    Don't miss out on the Fall Choir Concert featuring the TFS Concert Choirs and the Glee and Gospel Ensembles! The concert will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd at 6:30 in the Dr. Henry L. Hertz Auditorium. Admission is free to all so come support your school and favorite choir students as they perform a variety of great music.

  • Help with College Applications
    During the month of November, TFS counselors and their interns, along with representatives from Second Chance and the ISAC, are continuing to assist seniors with completing online college applications. In addition, representatives from colleges and universities are also on campus regularly to discuss their individual institutions with interested students. If your student is interested in meeting with a representative from the following institutions, please have them sign up in the Guidance Office:

    December 12th - Judson University - 2nd period

  • Online Transcript Requests
    "eTranscripts" are here! T.F. South is making the college application process easier by teaming with Parchment.com.

    One of the required documents you will need when applying to college is an official high school transcript. T.F. South has a new, online service. You can request an official high school transcriptto be sent to the college of your choice with just a few clicks. Parchment sends your transcript securely, accurately and confidentially to any college or university. Log on to Parchment.com/registerand follow these three easy steps:

                         2. Request your transcript

                         3. Track your transcript

The cost to send each transcript is still just $3.00 (Parchment may charge an additional $2.55 for some colleges outside of the Midwest).

You can also use Parchment to send additional information electronically, including letters of recommendation.

Because everything is online, it is processed much faster. Plus, you can track when your transcript was sent and received from your account on Parchment.com. That's peace of mind!
